Where projects go wrong
- Trays overfilled, derating the cables invisibly.
- Earth continuity broken at painted bolted joints.
- Power and data in the same tray with no separation, causing interference.
- Support spacing too wide, so loaded trays sag.
- Plastic supports on fire-survival cable routes, which melt and drop the cable early in a fire.
- Cut edges left unprotected after site modification, corroding and cutting cable sheaths.
