PEB Roofing & Wall Cladding

By Dhruv Agarwal · · 1 min read

What we deliver

Roof and wall sheeting, insulated sandwich panels, skylights, ventilators, flashings and gutters for PEB and industrial buildings — the envelope that decides how hot the building runs and whether it stays dry.

On an industrial building the envelope is most of the building's surface area, and the roof takes the most sun. Its specification sets the inside temperature, the lighting load and the running cost for as long as the building stands.

Scope of works

ElementWhat we deliver
Roof sheetingSingle-skin or insulated panel, fixed to purlins
Wall claddingSheeting or insulated panel on girts
InsulationPIR or rock wool panels where specified
DaylightingPolycarbonate or FRP skylight sheets
VentilationTurbo ventilators, ridge vents, louvres
RainwaterGutters, downpipes, valley details
FlashingsRidges, eaves, corners, penetrations

Where projects go wrong

  • Fastener spacing uniform across the roof. Edges and corners need closer spacing for wind uplift.
  • Laps not sealed or too short. The most common cause of industrial roof leaks.
  • Penetrations poorly flashed. Every ventilator and pipe is a potential leak.
  • Skylights without insulation strategy. They bring daylight and heat.
  • Gutters undersized. A large roof sheds a great deal of water quickly.

Why Hagerstone

Envelope experience across industrial and commercial work — our facade team has delivered PIR panel and rock wool panel envelopes, including 6,500 sq. m. at the Anygraphics factory in Noida — so roofing is detailed by people who handle insulated envelopes, not only sheeting.

In-house fitters and a 53-member site team, under ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 and 79+ quality checkpoints.

Standards referenced
