# Hospitals & Healthcare — Interiors, MEP and Facade

> Healthcare interiors and MEP cover operation theatres, ICUs, emergency, diagnostics and patient areas. In a hospital, building services are clinical infrastructure: power continuity, air movement and water quality affect patients directly, and much of the work happens in facilities that stay open.

## What healthcare clients need

In a hospital, building services are clinical infrastructure. Power continuity
in an ICU, air movement in an operation theatre and water quality in sterile
areas all have direct consequences for patients. Finishes must be cleanable and
durable, circulation must support patient flow, and much of the work happens
while the hospital stays open.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can you work inside a hospital that is still operating?

Yes. Most healthcare work is expansion or upgrade in a live facility. It needs infection-control barriers between the work zone and clinical areas, dust and noise control, and shutdowns of services planned around the hospital's clinical schedule. It is slower than new build, and the method matters as much as the design.

### Which hospital areas do you cover?

Reception and waiting areas, emergency, patient rooms, operation theatres, ICU and critical care, diagnostic and imaging, pharmacy, consultation and OPD, and physiotherapy and rehabilitation — each with its own requirements for air, power, water and finishes, as set out in our Hospital Interior & MEP profile.
